If you've seen one episode of Andi Mack then you're most likely totally obsessed with the Disney Channel series, just like we are here at J-14. The show comes from the creator of Lizzie McGuire so you already knew it was going to be an instant classic and after that Season 1 finale, everyone has been waiting for details as to when exactly the second season would be gracing our television screens. Well, Disney has made the big announcement and you don't have to wait too much longer for new chapters in Andi, Buffy, Cyrus and Jonah's lives.
The one-hour season premiere will air on Friday, October 27 at 8 p.m. on Disney Channel and will be available to watch on the Disney Channel app at 9 p.m.
As you may remember in the pilot episode of the series, Andi's world was completely flipped upside down when she discovered that her older sister Bex is actually her mom and who she thought was her parents are her grandparents. Throughout the first season, we saw Andi and her family adjusting to their new dynamic, along with Andi's life at school with her besties and dealing with her feelings for her crush Jonah. In the season two premiere, the episode will focus on Andi encouraging her dad Bowie to plan a future with Bex, Cyrus introduces his girlfriend, Iris, to Andi and Buffy; and Jonah invites Andi to the Space Otters' party. Plenty of drama is on the way that's for sure!
It was announced that Cyrus will come out as gay in Disney Channel's first LGBTQ storyline when he realizes he has feelings for Jonah. As we all know, Andi's had a massive crush on Jonah and Andi and Cyrus are BFF so it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. But we are so proud of Disney for creating more inclusive storylines and it's going to be amazing to watch Cyrus' character development throughout the course of Season 2.
Well if you need a bit of a refresher before the new episodes start airing, here you go:
But if you want to see every episode again, they will be available during the entire month of October on the Disney Channel App. From Monday, Oct. 9 until Thursday, Oct. 26, all season one episodes will air on Disney Channel with one episode per night every Monday through Thursday at 8 p.m. On Oct. 27, Disney Channel will be airing a season one marathon, playing all 12 episodes back-to-back beginning at 2 p.m. leading up to the Season 2 premiere.
